What happened to the Petticoated Swashbuckler?

Did she run away? Did she join a pirate ship to fight white supremacists? Did she have to defeat covid single-handledly, with only an umbrella, a basket and a face mask as her weapons? Did she lock herself in and refuse to come out until gender equality was achieved world wide?

No. But she did try her hand at a new medium!

For the last year or so, I’ve been working on a project where I recreate the items in an inventory from about 1780, items once owned by the English woman Mrs. Ann Bamford. I’ve also been documenting this journey, and sharing it on YouTube! Here is the video where I explain the project in more detail:

You learn much in a year. How to make the thumb for your video more appealing, among other things.

It’s been very interesting, and I’ve had a very steep learning curve, from never having done any editing of video ever, to making videos almost every month.

As much as I enjoy YouTube, I don’t want this blog to die. I also feel like the two can accompany each other in a very good way. So my New Year resolution is to share my projects here as well as in video form! It will probably be little to share for another month (I need to edit my previous projects before I can start on new ones), but for now, here is some images of what I made last year. See you soon!
